Building the end wall of your home straight up to the roof ridge gives you a tall, square room with real presence, and the height for a striking window.
Your roof now What we build
A gable conversion extends the flat end wall of your home vertically up to the ridge line, creating a full-height triangular gable. It gives you a taller, squarer room than a sloped roof allows, and the height to add a feature window that floods the space with light.
It works beautifully on homes that already have a gable end, and pairs with a dormer or hip to gable where more floor area is needed. As with every Loft Life conversion, the design, structural calculations and build are handled by our own team.
Five stages, one named project manager, and a written price before anyone lifts a tool.
We visit, measure up, and tell you honestly what your roof allows.
Drawings, structural calcs and any planning, all handled in-house.
One clear written quote, itemised, with no hidden extras.
Our own team on site and one named project manager, start to finish.
Building control sign-off and your ten-year guarantee in hand.
It suits homes with a suitable end wall, and we confirm this on the free survey. Where a gable alone will not give enough floor space, we combine it with a dormer.
Often it falls under permitted development, but this depends on your home and location. We check and manage any application for you.
A quality loft conversion can add up to twenty percent to your property value, alongside the extra living space.
Our own in-house team, never subcontractors. The same people who design your loft are the ones who build it, with one project manager throughout.
We build gable conversions right across south east London and the whole of Kent. Thirty two towns, every one of them a job we travel to. If your town is not on the map, ask us anyway.
